I am currently accepting guest bloggers and review victims from now through the end of August, 2012. Anyone is welcome, regardless of genre.
REQUIREMENTS
One blog post, maximum 2,500 words, on the topic of your choice.. It can be a Promo/Excerpt post, self-written character interview, opinions on Storycraft, or any other thought you might have.
I also offer two types of interviews:
- 20 Questions With the Author (chosen at random – minimum of 5 personal, 5 regarding backlist, 5 regarding current release, and 5 other random)
-10 Question Character Interviews (based on genre and character to be interviewed – requires cover art, blurb, and basic character information prior to interview)
You may include any graphics you wish – book covers, eye candy, or the like. Please limit the graphics to no more than four (4), due to file size and ease of emailing. If you want the image linked to a purchase site or other location, please make sure you give me the CORRECT link with the image.
Any post can include covers, buy links, personal locations, and the like. It’s your post – make it so.
All guest spot information must be received a minimum of three (3) days prior to your scheduled post date to give me time to get everything set up and working properly. This will give me the ability to check formatting, work out links and get in touch with you if something isn’t right.
Please make sure to check your spelling and grammar prior to sending your post to me. I don’t always have time to go through and check them, and I would hate for either you or me to miss something.
All post material must be attached to an email (see details below) in either .rtf, .doc, or .docx formats. I don’t mind if you imbed your images to show me how you want your post to look, but please attach them separately as well OR provide a link to the image at another site. This will help with any formatting confusion on my end.
WHAT YOU GET FROM ME
Your post will go live at 6:00 AM EST, and will include a short introduction in which I tell the world who you are and what you’re promoting.
Facebook and Twitter notifications – two each on post day. One in the A.M. when the post goes live, and one mid-afternoon as a refresh. Facebook posts will also be sent once to each relevant group of which I am part.
A permanent link to your blog or website for my sidebar (if you provide it), if it isn’t already there.
Once your post is scheduled, you will receive a preview link, which will also serve as the live link for the day of your post.
REQUESTING A SPOT
The list of dates is below. Please check the calendar prior to emailing to make sure the date you want is free. Send an email to siobhan.kinkade (at) gmail (dot) com with the subject line “Guest Spot – [Date]“. In the email, please tell me whether you want a guest blog, a personal interview, or a character interview. If you want the character interview, please provide me with the cover, blurb, and character’s personal information (name, personality, role in the story). Once I reply with a confirmation that the date is open (and send you interview questions if necessary), you will have until three days prior to your guest date to provide your information to me. Please reply to the email threat to help me keep the posts organized.
In the email, please include your name, website or blog link, and any other links or information you want attached to your post.
ALL DATES ARE FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED. Holidays are not available for public posts. I also reserve the right to close out a date for any special event such as a blog hop, book release, or my birthday. Other dates are negotiable for special events such as blog hops, book release, and birthdays.
